Nayantara is a first-year MPhil Comparative Government student and a member of St Anne's College. Her research interests include political behaviour, democratization, authoritarian politics, legacies of repression, and transitional justice.

Before moving to Oxford, Nayantara graduated with a BSc in Political Science (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam. Her bachelor's thesis studies preferences for 'thin' and 'thick' populism as drivers of vote choice in the Netherlands.

Outside the classroom, Nayantara was a research assistant for two projects at the Hot Politics Lab, focused on arts-based interventions for prejudice reduction and affective polarization. She also enjoyed her time as an interviewer at Room for Discussion, the official interview platform at the University of Amsterdam.
