Rana Mitter appeared as a guest on the BBC World Service's programme 'Weekend' (28 February), in which he discussed a number of issues, including the new University of Oxford China Centre, which was opened in September by the Duke of Cambridge.
He talks about how the UK is becoming a European centre in the study of China but is moving from if not a standing start then a low one. Rana hopes that the Oxford China Centre will "put a bit of petrol in that particular tank".
Rana is frequently asked to comment in the Media, and was also quoted briefly in a news item on a military parade to be held in China to commemorate the end of World War Two, which can be read here: http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2015-03/03/c_134034390.htm
