Professor Neil MacFarlane on Azerbaijans foreign policy dilemmas

Neil MacFarlane commented on Azeri foreign policy especially regarding its relations with Iran in his latest interview to News.az (31 May, 2012).

Commenting on the current tensions between Baku and Tehran, Neil noted that Azerbaijan may use its non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council to take advantage of the international concern about Iran. However, Neil continued, there is a risk that going after Iran in the council might make the bilateral relationship worse than it already is. Im not sure Azerbaijan would want that to happen

Neil also discussed the Karabakh problem and the Eurovision song contest.
