Dr Ricardo Soares de Oliveira awarded a Leverhulme Research Fellowship

Congratulations to Dr Ricardo Soares de Oliveira who has been awarded a Research Fellowship from The Leverhulme Trust for his project, Post-War Reconstruction in Angola: Oil, the State and the Politics of Oligarchic Capitalism for the period 1 October 2011 to 30 September 2012.

The project will analyse Angolas ambitious state-building drive process in historical perspective, and extract key comparative lessons for the study of state-building and post-war reconstruction, rentier capitalism, and the insertion of oil states in the global economy.
