Ms Hossain is a Commonwealth PhD Scholar and her research interests focus on South and South East Asia, investigating violence in borderlands areas. She is interested in communal violence, particularly between Buddhist and Muslim peoples in South Asia. As part of the ACU's Peace and Reconciliation Network, she met with researchers from around the world to discuss the legacy of conflict and how to effectively reconcile groups.
